After going with VMware for many years, I am actually planning my first Microsoft Hyper-V based Infrastructure. Setting up a first host and doing basic configuration was done very fast but I was a bit confused about long login delays and a poor performance. Deeper dests came up with a maximum network performance of only some Mbit, even from VM to VM. I found out that there might be a problem with Broadcom NIC’s and „Virtual Machine Queues“. Another tip was to disable C1E and CState in the bios (in System Profile Settings on Dell Servers). Disabling „Virtual Machine Queues“ on all physical and virtual adapters brought the solution.
